Well friends of PINK,
This is the first posting for the eagerly awaited for
1st National Equity Tour of (cue the trumpets)
(and the villagers rejoice)
I am sorry it has taken this long to begin, but we have been waiting to hear back from AEA on the use
of pictures from rehearsal. So, instead of waiting, I am just going to begin. I may have my role of EQUITY DEPUTY revoked....but i must bring this, the word of Elle, to her people.
My name is NICK DALTON. I play Pforzheimer, as well as cover Warner and Dad/Winthrop---and I
will be your Cpt Kirk through this crazy adventure.... with occasional guest appearances by elite stars.
Stardate 9.21.08
We are now a week +1/2 into rehearsal. The first day was amazing---with a full read through, meet and great, and the introduction of 3 of our dogs. We have a standby for both RUFUS and BRUISER as well as our first string pooches, but our BRUISER understudy decided he didnt want to travel the country. So, yesterday we got the replacement. here is a Picture of China (a.k.a. Rufus #1).
We are almost done blocking and restaging dance numbers for the first act, as we near the end of week two. For the past week or so we have been beginning rehearsal with an hour of jumproping---building stamina for the 2nd act opener. I think I may have actually lost 10 pounds since we started. Its mad--
-living throughout the day with completely saturated clothes must be what it feels like to wear a diaper. Also, today we began a little 2 hour jumproping workout, as we learn the beginning of the opener of Act 2. I forsee pain in my calves.....just a thought. Perhaps a slight burning....
Also, check out these three videos. They were both posted on YOUTUBE---one is accurate on who the cast actually is and simple, the other is an edited movie with graphics( who has that time) and the other is a complete travesty of rumors and I dare say things that were made up. Or maybe just wishful thinking. Click away.....
Also, before I run to finish I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER---do be comforted to know that we are now scheduled well into a 3rd year. So this puppy is going to be on the road for many a fortnight. Wait for it----also looks like we will be getting a new swing because Ward hurt his back. He will not be back to 100% health for a few weeks. So, send him good thoughts.
Til next time friends.....
Namaste,
Nick
p.s. I am also going to try to include video whenever possible so stay tuned. There could be pre-show announcements...or the dog talking....anything is possible.
